Every year while the NCAA Tournament determines the college basketball national champion, the NIT offers teams another chance to end their season on a high note, even if they didn’t manage to make it to the Big Dance.

There are 32 teams in total who will battle it out for the NIT championship. All regular-season conference champions who didn’t win their conference tournaments get an automatic bid.
