Speaking after the fight, he admitted the lead-up to the bout was ‘the most nervous’ he’d been in his life with ‘so many sleepless nights’.

And he paid tribute to Dryden for making life hard for him for three rounds.

‘I didn’t expect him to be this tough, honestly,’ he said.

‘Got me with a few body shots. It was a great learning experience for me.’

His brother Tim said Nikita deserved a ’10 out of 10′ mark for the way he fought and he wasn’t alone in heaping praise on his sibling.

‘He’s broken down his opponent with the most mature performance we’ve seen from him to date,’ Main Event commentator Ben Damon said.

‘He produced the full kit of punches. He boxed, but it was brutal. The butcher with another win, and he is absolutely loving it here.’

Main Event analyst Barry Michael described the performance as ‘meticulous’, while former world champion and Aussie boxing legend Jeff Fenech noted Tszyu ‘was so much better than his last fight.’
