Niharika NM wishes to collaborate with Ranveer Singh; says, ‘I don’t know if I would be able to match his energy’ – Exclusive – Times of India

You recently graced Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan 7’. How was your experience?


It was amazing. It wasn’t what I thought it would be because of what we hear online. Karan is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met. He is so sweet and incredible. The experience in itself was amazing. I never thought I would be on that couch. We all got the hampers so we now know what’s in the hamper. All in all, it was an incredible experience. I was also given the honour of being styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania. It was multiple dreams come true on the same day. It was definitely a great milestone.

An anecdote you’d like to share from shooting for the episode…

Whatever was shown on the show was just the gist of my entire experience. There were a few stories exchanged on the set but maybe that’s one thing that I will keep to myself because I am terrified of being yelled at by Karan! I am kidding! Karan is too nice and he is not going to yell at me but I am going to keep them for myself.

Your love and admiration for Ranveer Singh was quite evident on the show. Would you love to collaborate with him someday?


We were all serious about the award nominations on the show. But after a point we just wanted to pick people who would pick up calls. And who doesn’t love Ranveer Singh? Of course, I love Ranveer Singh and I would love to collaborate with him some day. Ranveer is a proper mood, he is a vibe. I don’t even know if I would be able to match his energy. I just want to bask in his energy some day.

Among Tanmay Bhat, Danish Sait and Kusha Kapila, whom did you bond the most with?


This is not a diplomatic answer but I feel I have a different relationship with each one of them. We all go way back. Danish is my Bangalore boy, so I have so much love for him. I watched and listened to him on the radio when I was in high school. So it was a full circle moment for both of us to be there. Kusha is my girl. I absolutely adore her. We met in New York for a shoot and we have been friends ever since. She’s got my back and I have got hers.

Tanmay and I actually go way back. He discovered me when I was 16-17 years old in my second ever video on YouTube. He played a mentor’s role at that point in time. It is just incredible that I get to sit on the same couch as all of these guys. I wouldn’t have had the same experience if it was anybody else on that couch.
