Neymar ‘is pushing for a sensational return to Barcelona’
Neymar ‘is pushing for a sensational return to Barcelona this summer despite the club’s delicate financial position’, with PSG ‘ready to offload the Brazilian winger’
- Neymar wants to move back to Barcelona, six years after leaving the club
- PSG are willing to offload the winger to get his lucrative wages off their books
- Neymar has been unable to win the Champions League in his six years at PSG
PSG forward Neymar is reportedly very keen on a return to Barcelona this summer.
The Brazilian winger left the Catalan giants to move to the French capital for a world record £198m fee in 2017, with PSG hoping he could lead them to Champions League glory.
However, the French club have been unable to break their European duck, despite making the final in 2020, and they are now ready to listen to offers for the 31-year-old.
PSG have told Neymar he can find a new club, and he has now set his sights on a move back to Barcelona, according to Sport.
Neymar has been linked with a return to Barcelona in the past, including back in 2018, just one year after he left the club.

Xavi has previously said bringing Neymar back to the Nou Camp is not a priority
PSG were not interested in selling their star forward then, but circumstances have changed and they are now keen to get his lucrative wages off their books.
Neymar has also consistently battled with fitness issues during his time in France, and missed the final months of last season after undergoing ankle surgery.
While Neymar wants to play for Barcelona again, it could be difficult to get a deal over the line.
Barcelona manager Xavi, who won the Champions League alongside Neymar as a player in 2015, recently stated that bringing the Brazilian back to the Nou Camp was not a priority.
Barcelona are also in a delicate position when it comes to their finances, making it almost impossible for them to sign Neymar permanently.
They had to pull several financial levers last summer in order to sign the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde.
There remains uncertainty as to their budget this year, and Lionel Messi has admitted this played a part in his decision to snub his former club and move to Inter Miami instead.
But a loan deal for Neymar cannot be ruled out, and this could be best for all parties, with PSG looking for some way to offload the talented forward.
