The month of August continues to impress as big releases make their way to OTT. Last week Alia Bhatt led Darlings and the popular Pixar film Lightyear came to streaming platforms and this week, there are some really interesting titles for you to watch. Shabaash Mithu, a 2022 biographical sports drama starring Taapsee Pannu is available to watch. Alongside, the popular Netflix matchmaking reality show Indian Matchmaking 2 is also here ending the anticipation of the fans. Gargi, a Tamil-language mystery film, Malayankunju, a Malayalam-language survival drama and Cadaver,a Tamil-language investigative thriller can also be watched from the comforts of your home. Shabaash Mithu on Voot Select

Taapsee Pannu plays Indian cricketer Mithali Raj in this biographical sports drama. The movie portrays the story of Raj, the former Test and ODI captain of the India women’s national cricket team and the journey to the finals of 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Apart from Pannu, the movie casts Vijay Raaz, Devadarshini, Brijendra Kala and others in supporting roles.

Indian Matchmaking 2 on Netflix

The popular reality show Indian Matchmaking gets its second season as Sima Taparia tries to match aspiring brides and grooms with their other half. Relying upon her decades of experience and traditional values, Sima Aunty helps lucky singles find their soulmates, as long as they understand that compromise is the key.

Gargi on SonyLIV

This Tamil-language suspense movie is also a social commentary that somehow makes both the issue and the story feel humane. The story revolves around Gargi (played by Sai Pallavi) whose father gets arrested in connection with a rape case of a nine years old. And now it is up to her to prove the innocence of her father. The movie is part investigative thriller and part courtroom drama but the subject matter has been handled very delicately.

Malayankunju on Amazon Prime Videos

After an impressive theatrical run, this Malayalam-language survival drama is finally making its way towards the OTT platform. The movie revolves around an easily annoyed electronics technician who gets trapped inside rubble after a landslide and must now survive and make his way outside. The film stars Fahadh Faasil, Rajisha Vijayan, Johny Antony and others.

Cadaver on Disney+ Hotstar

The Tamil-language film is an investigative thriller where a forensic surgeon sets out to uncover the truth behind a series of murders in a village. The movie casts Amala Paul, Harish Uthaman, Riythvika, Athulya Ravi, Munishkanth in main roles.
