Neeyat trailer: Vidya Balan’s classic whodunnit will instantly remind you of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery! | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

After a long wait of four years, Vidya Balan’s next theatrical release ‘Neeyat‘ is here and the makers have just dropped the trailer of the film. Viday Balan plays CBI Office Mira Rao, who gets pulled in to solve the murder of billionaire Mr Ashish Kapoor, essayed by Ram Kapoor.
This classic whodunnit is set in the breathtaking highlands of Scotland where everyone is a suspect. After Ashish Kapoor’s mysterious murder at his own party, Vidya starts investigating the guests. The close circle of family and friends are tangled in their own web of lies and Vidya Balan takes on the challenge to uncover the murderer and the motive. By the look of the film, it has an uncanny resemblance to Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery which had Daniel Craig and Edward Norton in the lead, where Daniel played Private Detective Benoit Blanc.
With ‘Neeyat’, Vidya has reunited with Anu Menon after ‘Shakuntala Devi‘. Speaking about her character, Vidya had said in a statement, “In Neeyat, Mira Rao is not your classic, everyday detective, which is what made it fun for me. Also, not only did I get a chance to sink my teeth into an unusual and quirky character, but I also got to work with a powerful set of co-actors.”
The movie gives a classic Agatha Christie’s mystery novel vibe, with the suspects played by Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Niki Walia, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, and Danesh Razvi .’Neeyat’ is all set to hit the screens on July 7.
