This is Neeraj’s first gold after winning it at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2022. Talking about his performance on Saturday in the 2022 Kuortane Games in Finland, in rainy conditions, Chopra started well but made a foul in his second throw. However, the javelin thrower had hit the spot on his very first try.
But during his third throw is when he had an injury scare as he had a nasty slip, following which he chose to skip the remaining two attempts. Soon after he slipped, the crowd was seen gasping, but the Indian managed to recover well.
