Neena Gupta Gives A Unique Twist To This Indian Sabzi, Can You Guess?

Do you fret at the idea of having ‘lauki’ in your next meal? Many people avoid having this sabzi as they think it is boring and tasteless, and not many dishes can be made with it. Well, worry not; we are here to make you relish this harmless and nutritious vegetable! You must have heard of Baingan Ka Bharta, Aloo Ka Bharta, but have you ever heard of Lauki Ka Bharta? Veteran actress Neena Gupta is showing us the way. She is back with her kitchen diaries after being down with viral fever. In a video that she posted on Instagram, we can see her cooking Lauki Ka Bharta which can be made in just under 15 minutes.

The actress can be seen playing the role of Panchayat Pradhan’s wife Manju Devi in the web series Panchayat Season 2. She wrote in the caption, “Pradhan ji ki favourite lauki #PanchayatOnPrime.” In the video, we can first see her cutting lauki into two halves and then poking holes in it with the help of a fork. She then slowly heats both the pieces over a gas stove until they roast and turn black. This is followed by scrapping the lauki, cutting it into smaller halves and mixing them all together in a blender. Take a look:

Soon, we see her mixing garlic and onion in some mustard oil, followed by adding tomatoes, onions and the blended lauki mixture. She gives them all a final mix and says that Lauki Ka Bharta is now ready!

Well, this is not the first time that the actress has given us a unique and easy recipe. She is a big-time foodie and loves to cook dishes herself. She often shares videos of cooking on Instagram from her kitchen diaries. In a video that she posted earlier, she showed us how to make healthy misal with chickpeas, moong and matki sprouts.
