Need For Speed Unbound will allow players to disable driving effects: What it means – Times of India

Electronic Arts has finally released a trailer video on YouTube to reveal details about its upcoming racing game Need For Speed Unbound. The next part of the popular racing franchise is set to release for PCs and consoles on December 2. The trailer video has also revealed the new anime-style driving effects that will be available for players. Now, two tweets from the franchise’s official account state that these new driving effects will not only be customisable but players can also choose to disable them altogether.

Need For Speed Unbound: New driving effects
These new customisable driving effects look like the animations of graffiti. The game’s creators have added this new visual style that combines real vehicles with vibrant, animated street art and they want the players to use these effects to “get noticed.”

Players will be allowed to customise speed lines, smoke effects, emotes and more which will appear depending on in-game situations. However, players can also opt to disable them completely.
Later on, EA shared another blog post (spotted by EuroGamer) to explain and offer further details about the new driving effects. According to the blog, the creators of the upcoming game want to “deliver an art style that matters for gameplay.”
The blog also mentions that this new art style will not only celebrate player actions but will also improve the experience and even bear rewards.

This new driving VFX is called ‘Tags’ and the developers want to “take players to that next level” with Need for Speed Unbound.
