NBA best bets today (Predictions for Thunder-Pelicans, Nuggets-Heat and Quentin Grimes)

We nearly had a sweep in yesterday’s NBA best bets, but Pascal Siakam came up one rebound short.

Either way, we will always take a profitable day, and I’m looking to keep the train rolling on Monday night.

I have a frequent flyer (the Oklahoma City Thunder) back in today’s picks, as well as a moneyline play and an under-the-radar prop bet.

Let’s make up for yesterday’s near miss and grab a sweep:

NBA best bets record to date

  • NBA best bets record for 2022-23 season: 173-151-1 (+3.5438 units)

NBA best bets today

  • Oklahoma City Thunder -2.5 (-110) vs. New Orleans Pelicans
  • Denver Nuggets Moneyline (-120) vs. Miami Heat
  • Quentin Grimes UNDER 8.5 Points (+100)

Oklahoma City Thunder -2.5 (-110) vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Bet the Thunder, bet the Thunder, bet the Thunder!

Oklahoma City is 8-3 against the spread as a home favorite this season, winning those games by an average margin of 9.9 points per game.

New Orleans is just 3-7 straight up in its last 10 games, and it’s one of the worst road teams (9-18 straight up) this season. The Pels are also terrible against the spread as road dogs, going 5-11-1.
With Zion Williamson out and C.J. McCollum questionable, I think the Thunder are going to roll over the struggling Pelicans on Monday.

Denver Nuggets Moneyline (-120) vs. Miami Heat

The Denver Nuggets have not been as good on the road as they’ve been at home this season, but with Tyler Herro questionable, I love Denver to win this game.

Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray are also questionable, but Miami lacks the offensive firepower to take advantage in my eyes.

The Heat are just 8-18-2 against the spread at home this season, the worst mark in the NBA. The Heat also rank 26th in offensive rating, which is going to be a problem since Denver is No. 2 in the league in offense.

As long as Nikola Jokic suits up, I think the Nuggets win this game.

Quentin Grimes UNDER 8.5 Points (+100)

Quentin Grimes’ role looks like it’s going to be reduced, as he played just 22 minutes in the New York Knicks’ win over the Utah Jazz on Saturday.

With Josh Hart in town, Tom Thibodeau opted to sit Grimes late in the game, trusting Hart and Immanuel Quickley instead.

That makes sense, as both players give the Knicks a little more firepower on offense to close games. Grimes took just three shots in his 22 minutes, and he’s failed to go over this number in back-to-back games.

Hart has to take someone’s minutes, and it looks like Deuce McBride and Grimes are going to be the main players who lose out.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
