Navya Nanda says her brother can make tea if guests come home, and she can handle finances, they were raised as equals | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Amitabh Bachchan’s grand daughter Navya Nanda didn’t choose to be an actor, however, she’s carved her own niche by opting to be an entrepreneur. Navya has turned out to be an inspiration for many young women by doing her bit for women’s health and being independent from a young age. In a recent interview though, Navya has revealed that she and her brother Agastya Nanda were raised to be equals.
Navya revealed that her grandmother Jaya Bachchan told her that women are the best entrepreneurs because they are born with management skills. A housewife’s job is no different from what a CEO of a company does, hence Navya and her brother Agastya were raised by their mother Shweta Nanda in a similar way. Hence, the responsibility of financing and budgeting was split between them equally. Navya said that they both earn independently now hence they know the value of money.
She further revealed that she does what her brother does and he has to do what she does. For instance, Navya can handle household finances but if guests come over then Agastya can make tea for them because that’s how they were raised. However, in an interview with Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Shweta Nanda had confessed that she had been tougher on Navya because the world isn’t easy on women and hence they have to be that much more stronger, more vigilant and careful.
Navya is the co-founder of Aara Health which works towards women’s health.
