Moringa/drumstick soup
Instead of the usual varieties of tomato or mix vegetable soup, how about a drumstick soup? It will make your hair and skin glow. It’s also said to make the bones stronger.
To make: Cut drumstick pieces. Add this to sautéed onion and garlic plus dudhi and pressure cook. Once the soup is ready, season with salt, pepper and dash of lemon for extra vitamin C. Have it with a loaded vegetable sandwich.
Moong dal + paneer dosa with coconut chutney
If you love dosas, this time instead of your regular fix, have this protein-packed dosa that makes for a healthy bite.
To make: Mix soaked moong dal and paneer in a mixer and add chopped capsicum, onion, tomatoes and chopped coriander. Make a dosa of the mix and serve with coconut chutney (that makes for good fat). It’s definitely a meal that will a lot of energy.
Mix dal khichdi
Your fave comfort food gets healthier here with the all-time fave khichdi.
To make: Mix all the dals along with brown rice and vegetables. Add green masala: onion+ garlic+ spices+ kotmir+ ginger. Also add salt and cow ghee. This multigrain khichdi is a meal itself and low in glycemic index. Cow ghee is good fat and will never let your energy levels go down. Serve this with kadhi/curd raita.
