The Portuguese posted a picture on Twitter of Lucas signing a contract at the club and captioned it with an emoji of a pen, a green heart and a lion. 

The nine-year-old beamed with the Red Devils legend as he put pen to paper and sported the green and white shirt.

The 36-year-old winger joined Sporting CP from his youth team Real Massama in 2004. 

Nani won the National Junior Championship in 2004–05 with Sporting and got promoted to the first team in the 2005-06 season.
