Naga Chaitanya talks about failure of Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, reveals why he worked in the film | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Naga Chaitanya made his big Bollywood debut with the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘. He recently opened up about the failure of the film at the box office, why he agreed to be a part of the film and more.
In his recent interaction with a news portal, Chaitanya revealed that the main reason for him to do that project was to travel with Aamir. He added that as an actor, he always wished for an opportunity to travel with the Bollywood superstar for just two days just to learn from him. According to him, he walked into the project with that mindset. However, he got to work with him for 5-6 months. Chaitanya also said it’s a script he personally connected with when he read it for the first time.

Further, he revealed that there was a lot of honesty, even in the way Aamir was working. He just followed him in this journey and has no regrets at all. Chaitanya also went on to add that it is unfortunate that the movie didn’t work out but he came out as an evolved person, both professionally and personally. And he believed that all this is because of what Aamir taught him. Chaitanya added that he sees working in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ as an ‘investment for the future’.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film, ‘Forrest Gump’. The original movie starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.
