Myntra CEO Amar Nagaram puts in his papers
Nagaram’s resignation comes days after Flipkart Group transferred Myntra’s business development head R Ayyappan to handle the business of Cleartrip, an online travel booking platform that Flipkart had acquired in April. Flipkart has appointed Sharon Pais, head of loyalty and travel at Flipkart, as the new business development head of Myntra replacing Ayyappan.
We will update comment from Myntra whenever we get it.
Nagaram was named CEO of Myntra after its previous head Anath Narayanan quit shortly after Walmart Inc. completed acquisition of Flipkart Group for about $16 billion in August 2018.
It is however unclear where Nagaram is headed to or whether he is planning his own start-up as a whole host of tech executives over the years have been striking on their own.
“Nagaram has worked with (Flipkart CEO) Kalyan Krishnamurthy even before at Flipkart,” said one of the sources.
