Myles Price learned ‘hell of a lot’ from fight with Anthony Pettis

Myles Price is getting ready for his second PFL fight and is looking to get his first win in the organization.

The 2022 PFL season is underway and the next event is just around the corner. PFL 4 takes place on June 17 live from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, GA. Featured on this card are the lightweights and light heavyweights. One lightweight on this card who is looking for his first PFL win is Myles Price. Price will be taking on the dangerous, former UFC fighter, Jeremy Stephens.

This is the second difficult opponent Price has drawn in the competition so far. His first time out he faced former UFC champion, Anthony Pettis. That fight ended in a first-round submission loss, but Price is looking at the experience as a lesson. He spoke to the media bout this and more.

“I learned a hell of a lot about myself and I took a lot away from being in there and feeling an opponent like Anthony Pettis,” Price said. “He’s been to the height of the sport so to get to be in there with him and also and I know that I have a much more vast skill set and not just froze a little bit in certain scenarios because look, three and a half year layoff is a long bleeding time. So there are the two things I took from it the feel of the opponent and the shake-off to bring into this fight.”

Price has a feeling he and Pettis will meet again. He is looking to make his way into the PFL finals with a chance to win that million-dollar prize and he would not be surprised to see Pettis across the cage from him once again. When asked his prediction for the final he explained.

“Me and Anthony Pettis,” he went on to explain his predicted outcome for that scenario. “me probably overwhelming him with strikes then taking him down and TKO finished ground and pound.”

Price will have to first get past Stephens on Saturday night.

PFL 4: Clay Collard vs. Alex Martinez takes place on Friday, June 17, 2022, live from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, GA. Follow along with FanSided MMA who is on-site for all your news and highlights.
