Music Video: Watch: K-Pop band’s latest music video shot on the iPhone – Times of India

The iPhone camera is perhaps the most used in the world. Not just for clicking photos but for shooting short films as well. In India, Vishal Bharadwaj shot “Fursat” completely on the iPhone 14. And now the highest trending K-pop girl group — NewJeans — have released a music video that has been shot on the iPhone 14 Pro.

The dance sequences in the music video — titled “ETA” — were shot with Action mode on iPhone 14 Pro. Action mode takes smooth videos even when the camera is shaking, which allowed iPhone to capture NewJeans’ choreography in ‘ETA’ in a more dynamic way.
In addition to Action mode, Cinematic mode was also used to provide depth to the cinematography. The iPhone 14 Pro camera takes stable and clear videos even in low light, which helped capture the nighttime scenes in the music video.

Comprising five members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, NewJeans has quickly risen to the top of the charts, garnering a massive fan following across the globe.

What the director has to say

Woo-Seok Shin, director of the music video said, “We started the creative process by exploring unique approaches that are only achievable with the iPhone. That was an interesting experience.”
He further said that “ETA” tells a captivating story through relatable lyrics that almost feel like having a conversation with a friend. “We communicated this friendly vibe by inserting scenes with FaceTime on iPhone, and action mode was particularly helpful for capturing stable videos of big movements in the choreography.”
NewJeans’ music video for ‘ETA’ is available on HYBE’s official YouTube channel. Viewers can also watch the BTS ads for the “Shot on iPhone 14 Pro” campaign on TV, digital media, social media, and Apple Korea’s YouTube channel.
