The teams, ‘MI Emirates’ or phonetically ‘MY Emirates’ and ‘MY Cape Town’ respectively, are dedicated to fans across both the Emirates and Cape Town.

As per the official statement, the new entities take the Mumbai Indians identity and weave in the local influence.
