MultiVersus season 1 to launch on August 15: All Details – Times of India

The first season of Player First Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment title — MultiVersus is set to launch on August 15. A tweet has been shared from the official MultiVersus Twitter account to confirm the same. The Twitter post has also revealed some details about the upcoming characters and a new Battle Pass. MultiVersus will be a free-to-play crossover fighting game like Super Smash Bros. Previously, the game was scheduled to release on August 9, but was recently delayed by the studio.

According to a report by IGN, MultiVersus has become a certified hit as the Open Beta program of the game (which was launched in July is already being tested by more than 10 million players.

This game is expected to become one of the biggest titles in 2022 that will add characters like Rick and Morty to an already packed roster that includes characters like — Bugs Bunny, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark, LeBron James and the Iron Giant. The game will be available on ode PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
MultiVersus season 1: Other details
The game will also introduce a brand-new Battle Pass for players to earn in-game rewards. Moreover, apart from the in-game rewards, the new Battle Pass is also expected to add new game modes and content throughout the season as committed by Player First Games, the report suggests.

As per the tweet, Morty from Rick & Morty won’t be available for players on the launch date, instead, it will be added to the game on August 23. Another report from The Verge claims that Rick was also planned to be added sometime during the season, yet there is still no information available about it.
