MS Dhoni gets a new hairstyle, receives attention of Bollywood stars, know the story behind it

MS Dhoni is one of the most popular Indian cricketers across the globe with a massive following on social media platforms. Dubbed as ‘Captain Cool’, MS Dhoni has a huge number of loyal fans who try to copy his style in every way possible. The ace cricketer hasn’t been much active on social media platforms lately but his new hairstyle shared by a celebrity stylist Aalim Hakim is going viral. MS Dhoni sported long hair during his initial years as an international cricketer for team India. He changed his hairstyle after winning the maiden ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and now he has adopted a similar length of hair but with a different style. MS Dhoni’s new hairstyle has an interesting story behind it and Aalim Hakim has shared it in his Instagram post.

“We have done some really cool different hairstyles in the past but before the last IPL when everyone was cutting their hair sharp and short… That time Mahi bhai showed me one image of his which was a fanmade image of him with long hair and I just got fascinated with that image and requested him to grow his hair long… We both promised eachother that will not touch his hair and keep growing it and then we will cut & style it.” Aalim Hakim wrote on Instagram.

 

The post of MS Dhoni’s new hairstyle went viral within minutes. While many are considering it as a good luck charm for the ICC World Cup 2023, a few are calling it ‘Thala’s comeback’. The post even got attention of few celebs including Anil Kapoor who wrote, ‘He’s looking great aalim .. great hair cut and the aalim touch’. Aparshakti Khurana, Armaan Malik and others also lauded Dhoni’s new hairstyle.
