Mrunal Thakur opens up on showing her true self and being vulnerable on social media – Times of India

Mrunal Thakur will be seen next in ‘Gumraah’ along side Aditya Roy Kapur but the actress is still getting a lot of love for her last release ‘Sita Ramam’ with Dulquer Salmaan. While she’s doing some great work and has a strong social media game with the most glam pictures for display, Mrunal left her fans quite emotional recently as she put up a crying picture and wrote that it’s okay to show one’s true side on social media.
The actress spoke about what made her drop that picture recently at the News18 Rising India Summit 2023. Mrunal said that not everyone wants to share their vulnerable story with the world even though there are few days when we feel low and feel that we may not be able to make it. The actress said that this may even happen if a film is not successful or sometimes even when a film is successful because it adds pressure.

Murnal crying

Mrunal confessed that she’s bad at lying and hence she can’t keep a façade. It becomes evident from her face. People on social media think that actors are happy and vacationing somewhere but that’s not the case. Hence, Mrunal wanted people to know that the struggle is real and there is hard work but one needs to be determined to not give up. The actress said she meets so many people who give up after one or two attempts.
There was a phase when Mrunal’s film ‘Love Sonia’ wasn’t getting released because it was such a hard-hitting subject. At that point, she thought of giving up but she thought if she doesn’t give her 100 percent now, she shouldn’t regret it later. So, that made her just keep giving her best!

‘Gumraah’ is set to release on April 7.
