Mrunal Thakur opens up about her Dussehra plans – Times of India

After a gap of two years, festivities are back in full swing. And Mrunal Thakur isn’t leaving any chances of not celebrating Navratri with her family. Today being Dussehra, the actress is keen on spending the day with her folks in Mumbai. She says, “It’s Dussehra and I will be shopping for some new clothes and spend the day with my family doing all the rituals associated with the festival.”

BT caught up with Mrunal at the recently concluded Bombay Times Fashion Week where she walked for a well-known clothing line as the showstopper. The actress was seen sashaying down the ramp in a gorgeous pantsuit. The whole exercise she says made her confident to pull off a costume for her next film project.

In her forthcoming film, Gumraah, the actress plays the role of a cop and will be seen in a khaki vardi. About her role she says, “Today’s walk definitely worked as a prep for my film. I owned it up and felt so comfortable. The comfort shows on your face.” She further adds, “I feel women need to be powerful, which they already are. You just need to own yourself and be authentic enough and I am happy that it reflects in my work as well.”

The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur and is an official remake of Tamil hit action-thriller Thadam. That apart the actress will also be seen in Pooja Meri Jaan that stars Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz.
