Mommy-to-be Sonam Kapoor and hubby Anand Ahuja cancel baby shower, spend quiet Sunday with sister Rhea Kapoor – Pics – Times of India

Dressed head to toe in black, the pregnant actress put on her best smile as she posed for the cameras. Rocking a pair of statement shoes, the actress opted for a comfy ribbed dress that she paired with a black jacket.

Anand, on the other hand, also opted for comfy casuals that he paired with white statement kicks.

Reports had stated that Sonam’s family was set to host a star-studded baby shower for the expectant parents. Everyone from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, the Kapoor family, including cousins Arjun Kapoor, Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor were also rumoured to be attending the Bohemian-themed bash. The party was reportedly set to be held at aunt Kavita Singh’s bungalow in Bandra.

However, Bombay Times reported that the family pulled the plug on the party to make sure both mommy and baby are safe amidst a surge in covid-19 cases.

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan confirmed the same in her statement to the media. The star, who was spotted out and about the city, told the paparazzi, “Sonam’s baby shower has been cancelled and we are going for a lunch instead.”
