Mithila Palkar talks about why Irrfan Khan called her Binaca Geetmala; says her Karwaan co-star was humble and always willing to learn new things – Times of India

The cute and bubbly Mithila Palkar became well-known with her two TV shows on OTT – Girl in the City and Little Things. She began acting in 2015 and is a social media star with more than 4 million fans on Instagram.
It was for her comfort level on social media that the late Irrfan Khan once sat her down on the sets of Karwaan and asked her to teach him the rudiments of social media and how it worked. This was back in 2018 when she was lucky enough to share screen space with the legendary actor who passed away after complications from a neuroendocrine tumour in 2020.
She also fondly recalls the time when Irrfan Khan would call her Binaca Geetmala as she was always singing and humming on the sets of the film during shooting.

Mithila had posted a heartwarming video of herself singing a song on her Instagram page on May 2, 2020 just a few days after Irrfan Khan had passed away. Her post was addressed to Shaukat and read:
This #SingSongSaturday is dedicated to you. I’m struggling with the singing and strumming as usual but I tried to learn this just so I could bother you with my Binaca Geetmala, one last time.
Khush rehna, jahaan bhi ho. Khuda haafiz (heart emoji) Love,
Tanya.

She had used the names, Shaukat for Irrfan Khan and Tanya for herself – the name of the two characters that they play in the film, Karwaan.

The post had received more than 1.5 lakh views and many comments. Another picture from the sets of the film that she had posted on her social media of the two of them had almost 7 lakh likes.
