‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’: Tom Cruise performs his most dangerous stunt after 13,000 attempts. See details

After a long delay in production due to COVID-19, Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ is going to be released in theaters on July 14, 2023.

The seventh installment of the ‘Mission: Impossible’ film franchise will witness Tom Cruise reprising his role of Ethan Hunt. An agent of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF), Ethan promises to embark on his most dangerous mission till date in this upcoming epic action-adventure drama.

Paramount and Skydance on Monday, released behind-the-screen footage of the most dangerous stunt that Tom Cruise has ever attempted that was a highlight of the movie’s first trailer.

The footage saw Cruise and the film’s director, McQuarrie, demonstrate the stunt where the actor drives a motorbike on a ramp and off a cliff, leading into a base jump. To train for this complex sequence, Cruise did over 13,000 attempts. He later said, “I have to get so good at this that there’s just no way I can miss my marks.”

It was not just Tom Cruise’s dedication that was the highlight of the footage. To heighten the thrill of the stunt sequence, the camera had to capture Cruise from as close as possible.
