Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson was named the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year at the NFL Honors night in Phoenix.
The star receiver had another stellar year, just his second in the league, despite the Vikes’ wildcard weekend exit.
Jefferson thanked God while receiving the award. He was nominated alongside Super Bowl quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes, and fellow pass-catcher Tyreek Hill.
The former LSU star led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,809 – 99 more than second-placed Hill. He had eight touchdowns and 128 receptions in 17 games.
As for the Defensive Player of the Year, San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa took out the award.
He had a phenomenal season for the ferocious Niners front. It was ahead of Chiefs defensive tackle, Chris Jones, and Cowboys linebacker, Micah Parsons.
Bosa accumulated a league-high 18.5 sacks in 16 games alongside 48 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles.
