Mika comes under fire for dancing with 12-year-old Riva Arora, netizens burst in anger – Times of India

Riva is a child actor, best remembered for crying in a funeral scene in the movie URI in 2019 and playing a young Gunjan in Gunjan Saxena in 2020. Post that, Riva seemed to have worked hard and groomed herself for Bollywood as it is evident from her IG handle. However, she was recently seen in a dance video with Mika Singh that did not go down well with the masses. Netizens slammed the singer for romantically dancing with a girl young enough to be his daughter. Riva’s parents also came under the fire for encouraging Riva to take up such a project and the internet was seen seething in anger.

Comments like “Is she 12 for sure??? Unbelievable that this is even happening” and “She’s going to come out in a few years saying she was groomed by her parents and the industry. Poor girl???? What the hell are her parents doing?!” also surfaced on the internet.

This is not the first time Riva has been in the news for an age inappropriate video – she was also recently seen in a reel with Karan Kundrra, who is 26 years older to her. Netizens also found a video of hers from when she was 11 that saw her abused and chained to a bed.

In the past, Koi… Mil Gaya child actor Hansika Motwani (now 31) too has been criticized for age inappropriate roles.
