The microwave that a fan bizarrely asked Chris Eubank Jr to sign in Newcastle last week has been put up for sale on eBay, with bids already as high as £65,000.
The British middleweight boxer was stopped on the street outside Hotel Indigo in Newcastle last Thursday night ahead of his fight with Wanik Awdijan and was asked to sign the appliance.
He was swarmed by fans asking for pictures and autographs. However, one supporter ran up the street carrying the white microwave and bizarrely asked the 32-year-old to sign it.

The signed microwave has been put up for sale on eBay, with the current bid up to £65,600
He made his way over to Eubank Jr and pulled out a Sharpie pen. He was then heard saying: ‘It’s the only thing I’ve got’ as he asked the boxer to sign it.
Eubank Jr – who was clearly shocked to have been asked to sign a kitchen appliance – initially, he said: ‘Nah, not the microwave!’
However, the British middleweight boxer quickly changed his mind and handed his hold-all bag over to a friend.
Eubank Jr then grabbed the sharpie and signed the top of the microwave. Onlookers were equally as shocked to see the 32-year-old signing a kitchen appliance.
One fan said: ‘A microwave? What the hell?’
While another supporter added: ‘I can’t believe I’m seeing this.’

But now the signed microwave has been put up for sale on eBay, allowing fans to purchase it.
Due to expire on the website on Saturday evening, at the time of writing the current winning bid is a staggering £65,900.
Eubank tweeted on Thursday, when he became aware that it was up for sale, that he would match the winning bid and give the money to a charity of the winner’s choice.
He posted: ‘Been sent a link to an eBay auction thats selling the microwave I signed in Newcastle.
‘No idea how much it’ll go for but to make this a more meaningful situation whatever the winning bid is I’ll match it & give the money to a charity of the winners choice’.
Eubank Jr proved too good for Wanik Awdijan and stopped him in five rounds in Newcastle
Eubank Jr launched his comeback as a middleweight last week by stopping Awdijan after five rounds in Newcastle.
Eubank, who had previously campaigned at super-middle, has slimmed down looking for new title chances.
He had little problem with the German, who failed to emerge for the sixth. Awdijan reportedly suffered broken ribs.
Later, he paid an emotional tribute to his brother Sebastian, who died this year of a heart attack.
Eubank posted a picture of him lifting up Sebastian’s baby son Raheem, who was born just a month before his father died.
He wrote: ‘Raheem, tonight was for you and your old man. We miss him and now he’ll live on through you. Big shoes to fill.’
Eubank Jr later paid a tribute to his late brother Sebastian with a photo with his baby nephew
Holding Raheem, Eubank said ‘tonight was for you & your old man’ after his return to the ring
