ESA’s SME Office welcomes startups and SMEs to its booth at this year’s Space Tech Expo, a space technology trade fair and conference in Bremen, Germany from 15–17 November.

Newcomers to the business of space as well as established SMEs can find out what ESA has to offer, its R&D activities and programmes, and practical information on how to register to do business with ESA.

ESA’s SME Office will share booth Q27 with the ESA Business incubation centre (BIC) Northern Germany, SME4Space and the German SME organisation.

Exhibition visitors can meet the SME Office team at the booth. This could be useful to start-ups interested in how ESA can support them, as well as experienced SMEs who have a validated technology or product and want to get involved with industrial consortia to gain operational experience. It is also possible to schedule a meeting via the Space Tech Expo conference tool or email the SME helpdesk.

Tools for doing Business with ESA

During the exhibition, the ESA SME office will inform visitors about how to register with ESA as well as how to use its online esa-match tool – ESA’s new industry matchmaking platform. esa-match makes it easier for companies wanting to do business in the space sector to find potential partners.

Don’t miss: On Day 1 of the conference at 9:50 CET on Tuesday 15 November, ESA’s Director of Commercialisation, Industry and Procurement, Géraldine Naja, will talk about the importance of ESA programmes for Europe and its industry.

ESA enables and accelerates space business as part of its long-term plans for Europe in space. On 22–23 November, the Agency will make proposals at the ESA Ministerial Council (CM22) intended to encourage innovative technology development and commercialisation in the European space sector.
