Mazarin and Moda Operandi Hosted a Diamond-Filled Dinner in NYC
On Tuesday evening, fashion insiders gathered at Manhattan’s legendary La Grenouille to celebrate the launch of Mazarin’s fine jewels on Moda Operandi. The old-school French restaurant, which boasts not one but two Michelin stars, proved to be the perfect setting for the Parisian brand’s fête, with a glorious arrangement of plants and flowers perched along the elegant dining room. While guests mingled during the cocktail hour, they were treated to jazz tunes being played at a piano perched in the corner above the dining tables.
A quick glance around the room and you’d see Nicky Hilton Rothschild leaning against the balcony’s banister wearing an intricate elephant cuff from the jeweler, supermodel Maria Borges posing at the bottom of the stairs in a hypnotizing elephant pendant necklace made out of recycled gold, and actress AnnaSophia Robb raising a glass of Champagne with a lab-grown diamond on her finger—all by Mazarin, of course.
Louise de Rothschild, who is a co-founder along with Keagan Ramsamy, welcomed everyone with a heartfelt speech. “Our dream is to contribute to the next chapter in jewelry’s great history,” she explained. “We believe jewelry can and must become more ethical if it is to continue on throughout eternity.” That’s why the label works closely with The Big Life Foundation, a non-profit organization that partners with local communities to protect nature and elephants—a motif that’s infused throughout the line’s designs.
