Marvel announces new Iron-Man game in partnership with Electronic Arts – Times of India

Marvel Games is making a solo Iron-Man game in collaboration with Electronic Arts’ Motive Studio, Marvel announced. Motive Studio is a Canadian video game studio under Electronic Arts and is based out of Montreal. The title of the game is not finalised yet and Marvel is just calling it an Iron Man game for now
A single-player adventure with an original story
The Iron Man game will be a single-player action-adventure one that will be playable in the third person. It is in early development (pre-production phase) and will feature “an original narrative that taps into the rich history of Iron Man, channelling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man.”
Olivier Proulx heads the Motive Studio team working on the new Iron Man game as the executive producer and has experience working on Marvel games like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. His team comprises industry veterans like Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier at the Montreal-based studio.
More Marvel characters may be added to the game
Tony Stark (Iron Man) is one of the founding members of the Avengers and is one of the heavy hitters in the team alongside Steve Rogers (Captain America), Thor and Bruce Banner (The Hulk). He is also a member of the Illuminati, a secret society of very powerful super beings that includes Professor Charles Xavier, Doctor Stephen Strange, King of the Inhumans ‘Black Bolt’, Reed Richards and Namor the Sub-Mariner.
It is possible that some of these characters get featured in the upcoming Iron Man game, even when it is a single-player one. Perhaps we might even see Peter Parker web-slinging his way in the game, as he and Tony bond quite well but details on the story and the characters in the game are non-existent at this point in time. Heck, we don’t even know the title yet. If this is going to be a standalone story, it could be about the Armoured Avenger taking on the bad guys all on his own.
“It’s an honour and privilege to have the opportunity to make a video game based on one of the most iconic Super Heroes in entertainment today,” said Olivier Proulx in a statement given to Marvel. “We have a great opportunity to create a new and unique story that we can call our own. Marvel is encouraging us to create something fresh. We have a lot of freedom, which is so engaging for the team.”
