Marcus Rashford will commit the prime years of his career to Manchester United by signing a new five-year contract worth £78million.
Rashford has agreed terms over a £300,000-a-week deal that will run until 2028, and is set to put pen to paper this week.
United will be delighted to secure Rashford’s future after clinching the signings of Mason Mount from Chelsea and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
It follows more than a year of negotiations during which Rashford’s agent and brother Dwaine Maynard met with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old player entered the final 12 months of his current £250,000-a-week deal this month and would have been a free agent next summer.

Securing Rashford’s future represents a significant boost for Erik ten Hag’s team
However, it was always Rashford’s preference to stay with his hometown club, and the new contract is set to keep him at Old Trafford into his 30s.
The £50,000-a-week pay rise means Rashford will stay as one of the highest-paid English players in the game, with only Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling believed to be earning more.
It’s a reward for the best season of Rashford’s career in which he bounced back from a difficult 2021-22 campaign to become the first United player since Robin van Persie a decade ago to score 30 goals for the club.
Rashford only reported for pre-season training with the rest of United’s international players on Sunday so he will not be involved in tomorrow (wed) night’s friendly against Lyon at Murrayfield, having missed the victory over Leeds in Oslo last week.
Erik ten Hag and his players will fly on tour to the US following the Lyon game, and new goalkeeper Onana is expected to be on the trip after United agreed a fee of £43m with Inter to sign him as David de Gea’s long-term replacement.
Onana was at Inter’s training base in Italy yesterday (mon) but is planning to fly to Manchester today (tues) to undergo a medical and sign a five-year contract.
The club have already begun processing the Cameroonian’s visa so he can play on the four-match tour of the US.
United, who are closing in on a deal for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, meet Arsenal in New Jersey on Saturday followed by Real Madrid in Houston and Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas, while a younger team will face Wrexham in San Diego.
