Manoj Bajpayee’s take on failure and rejections wins the internet, netizens call him ‘perfect role model’ – Times of India

Manoj Bajpayee started his career with the iconic ‘Bandit Queen’ and since then has some memorable work in his filmography. While he’s known for his ace acting skills, it’s only in the recent times that he’s gotten his worth with accolades and more popularity. But the actor isn’t just winning hearts with his performances! His life lessons are also a major source of inspiration.
In a recent conversation with Neelesh Misra, the actor spoke about failures and rejections. How he looks at it is that, “When there is no work, there is a lot of work.” Bajpayee further added that, “Failures don’t define you nor does rejection just like success doesn’t define you. “Manoj Bajpayee is the same actor that he was 30 years ago. He’s the same today. He didn’t become a bad actor when he faced failure,” he expressed.

Manoj recently celebrated seven years of Hansal Mehta’s ‘Aligarh’. Talking about the film, he had told Etimes, “I believe Aligarh has improved me as an actor and a person. I approached the role in a way other actors wouldn’t have. I saw my character as a literate Lata Mangeshkar fan rather and not just a gay man. My whole focus was on his insistence on his privacy and his passion for whiskey and Lataji’s voice. It was a blissful spiritual journey.”

Bajpayee will be seen next in ‘Gulmohar’ along with Sharmila Tagore which is set to release on OTT on March 3.
