Manoj Bajpayee reacts to taking an indirect dig at Naseeruddin Shah for his remark on Filmfare awards | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah courted a controversy when he opened up about using Filmfare awards as door handles for his washrooms in his recent interview. Amid his statement, Manoj Bajpayee had shared his fond memories of the Filmfare awards. Soon, there were reports that Manoj seemingly took a dig at Naseeruddin for his remark. But it looks like that’s not the case at all.
“Filmfare has always been like a dream to me. I have grown up watching Filmfare and I used to enjoy watching it. People getting recognition is an amazing part being done there. Filmfare is like one of the biggest moments of pride and achievement. It is the most valuable part,” Manoj had told Times Now in a recent interview.

Reacting to certain reports about Manoj’s indirect jibe at Naseeruddin, the actor clarified that his statement was not directed towards anyone. “Kya yaar ! Please listen to what I said in response to what’s my memory of filmfare awards! It was not an answer to anyone!” he tweeted.

In another tweet, Manoj said that he can’t even talk to Naseer bhai in a loud voice in response to the purported news reports. “Meri aukaat nahi ki main Naseer bhai se uunchi aawaz mein bhi baat kar paun! Kya-kya samachaar kahaan kahaan se,” he tweeted in Hindi.

In his interview, Naseeruddin had said that he is not proud of these awards and he did not even go collect the last two awards he received. He added that when he built his farmhouse he decided to put the awards there, and used them as door handles for his washrooms.
