Manchester United fans TAUNT Jamie Vardy as they chant ‘your wife is a grass’ and ‘Rooney’ during Leicester win… over last year’s ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial
Manchester United fans taunted Jamie Vardy during their team’s 3-0 win over Leicester at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Vardy’s wife Rebekah took Coleen Rooney, the wife of former United captain Wayne, took to court for libel and lost in a case dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’.
And United fans ensured that striker Vardy has not forgotten about the feud as they chanted ‘Jamie Vardy, your wife is a grass’, seconds after he came off the bench to replace Kelechi Iheanacho late in the game.
That was followed by ‘Rooney, Rooney, Rooney’ as a tribute to their club legend.
United fans used the same chants to mock Vardy in the reverse fixture in September, when the Red Devils came out on top 1-0.

The high court battle began in 2019 when Rooney accused Vardy of leaking stories about her and her family to the Press.
But Vardy denied the allegations and after a highly-publicised battle, it was found by a judge that Rooney’s accusations were ‘substantially true’.
Mrs Justice Steyn said in her judgment in July that it was ‘likely’ that Mrs Vardy’s agent Caroline Watt ‘undertook the direct act’ of passing on information to The Sun.
The judge said: ‘The evidence clearly shows in my view that Mrs Vardy knew of and condoned this behaviour, actively engaging in it.’
Rebecca was ordered to pay up to £1.5million towards Rooney’s legal fees after losing the case, but she still continues to insist she was not the culprit.
Meanwhile, Manchester United went within two points of rivals Manchester City with a comfortable 3-0 win over Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Marcus Rashford continued his superb form by scoring a brace before substitute Jadon Sancho added a third for the hosts.
