Ralph Hasenhuttl has reportedly been added to the shortlist for Manchester United manager
Interim boss Ralf Ragnick is set to make the move upstairs in the summer and knows Hasenhuttl well from their time working together at RB Leipzig.
Now, Hasenhuttl’s name has reportedly been added to United’s managerial shortlist
Two Premier League draws against champions Manchester City made the United decision makers, who include football director John Murtough and technical director Darren Fletcher, take notice of Hasenhuttl’s work according to the Mirror.
Hassenhuttl worked with United interim boss Ralf Ragnick during their time at RB Leipzig
However, the 54-year-old faces competition for the job with former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag being the front runners.
But should the United hierarchy fail to land either, they would be open to switching to pursuing Hassenhuttl.
Like Pochettino, Hassenhuttl has cut his Premier League managerial teeth at St Marys and the Mirror reports he would be open to a move to a bigger club.
However, Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag are still the front runners for the job
