United were originally unsure on the 23-year-old, but with options changing, and a miserable start to the new season things have changed.
Erik ten Hag’s side look light in attack, especially given the uncertainty surrounding star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, and the injury to Anthony Martial at present – therefore Pulisic could be a good fit.
Liverpool also showed an interest in the former Dortmund star, but Chelsea were not willing to sell to a direct rival.
Chelsea are, however, willing to listen to loan offers from other clubs as they have been throughout the summer with boss Tuchel looking to re-shape his attacking line.

The deal appears to be down to Chelsea and what they are willing to do with Pulisic with just two weeks left in the transfer window.
Pulisic has also spoken about his frustration at the lack of starts he has received under Tuchel and has been played in a number of positions.
He has been eager to get a run of games so that he can enjoy his football again and hit form ahead of the World Cup.
Since joining the Blues, Pulisic has made 117 appearances, scoring 25 goals, but last season he suffered a lengthy period on the sidelines following an ankle injury and made just 13 Premier League starts.

He finished the campaign with only eight goals and has fallen behind in the Chelsea pecking order.
Pulisic is still not a starter this season despite Romelu Lukaku re-joining Inter Milan on loan and Timo Werner heading back to RB Leipzig for £25million – leaving Chelsea light on attacking options.
Although he has featured off the bench in both of Chelsea’s opening two Premier League fixtures against Everton and Tottenham.
Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling are currently leading the line for the Blues while they remain interested in adding more attacking options, including Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
