Manchester United are signing Darren Fletcher’s twin sons Jack and Tyler from Manchester City’s academy.
Tyler has been capped at U16 level by Scotland while Jack represents England.
They came up against one another in February, with Jack, who fufills a similar midfield role to the one his father played during an illustrious career, taking the spoils in a 3-0 Auld Enemy win.
The pair have established themselves as two of the brightest prospects in their age group at the Etihad, but they could now be moving closer to their famous Dad.
Fletcher snr, who played over 300 games for United and won 10 major trophies with the club, now works as technical director at Old Trafford and is believed to be driving the effort to bring them to the red half of Manchester.

He is not the first United legend to send his own children to City, with Wayne Rooney, Phil Neville and Robin van Persie doing the same due to the superior academy in the blue half of Manchester.
The Cityzens have won four U18 and three U16 titles in the past four seasons, with United’s academy that produced the famous Class of 92 lagging behind.
The younger Fletchers are both currently on schoolboy deals, but will be eligible for professional contracts when they turn 17 on March next year.
United have been keeping an eye on the pair for the past few years, while preliminary talks for a transfer are believed to have taken in the past week.
