Manchester United have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Mason Mount for £60million.
Following talks over the previous 24 hours, the two clubs have found a resolution to an impasse in talks.
The deal is understood to be £60million inclusive of add-ons. The add-ons are understood to be achievable.
He will now undergo a medical and are personal terms before signing a long-term deal at Old Trafford, which is understood to be a five-year deal.
Mail Sport reported last month that Mount had emerged as Erik ten Hag’s priority target this summer.
Manchester United have finally agreed a £60m deal with Chelsea for Mason Mount
The Red Devils have been chasing Mount for most of the window but had three bids rejected – the third of which came last week at around £55m – before United walked away from the negotiating table.
United were reluctant to pay over the odds for a player who had one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
But they have now agreed to pay an initial fee of £55m with £5m in add-ons.
