Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani has suffered an injury blow while on international duty with Uruguay.
Uruguay booked their spot in Qatar as a 2-0 win over Chile saw them clinch automatic World Cup qualification on Tuesday thanks to Luis Suarez and Federico Valverde’s late strikes.
But Cavani’s game was cut short as he was forced to leave the pitch after just 29 minutes with an injury.

The 35-year-old reportedly felt pain in his right calf and immediately sat down on the pitch, before calling to be substituted and being replaced by goalscorer Suarez.
He left the pitch in obvious discomfort and headed straight for the substitutes bench.
According to a report from Sport Witness, Cavani is likely to miss at least one game for Manchester United.

Cavani has played just over 600 minutes in the Premier League for the Red Devils this season.
Injury has blighted his campaign as he has missed 19 games across all competitions through injury this season.
He has scored just twice this term and his contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of June.
