Malaika Arora: ‘I rather be known as sexy, spicy than as pheeki, thandi’

Malaika Arora has said she likes being called ‘sexy’ but doesn’t feel insecure due to her stretch marks. She said that getting old is part and parcel of life and she would embrace it with wisdom. Malaika continues to be ageless and among the most popular celebs in Bollywood. She is the mother of 19-year-old Arhaan Khan. In a recent interview, Malaika said, “I have always said that I’d rather be known as sexy and spicy than being known as pheeki (bland) and thandi (boring). I have always been known like that. I am very feisty by nature.”

Claiming that there may be days when she feels just the opposite, she told Pinkvilla in the interview, “15 days of the month at my peak, the other 15 days I am struggling because all women are going through some hormonal… whatever.” On being asked what she feels in those other 15 days, she said, “I feel bloated, I feel low and like I am not at my optimum.”

Malaika said she is comfortable in her own skin and claims she knows how to deal with insecurites. “If I am trolled because I have stretch marks so be it. People have far deeper insecurities in life. I have my own share. For every gray hair, I feel I gain more wisdom, more stability, more love, more happiness. My grey hair are testimony that each year will be a bigger and better year for me,” she said.

Malaika is regularly spotted at her yoga centre and with her girl gang. She and sister Amrita Arora often hang out with Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor. The four of them had attended Ritesh Sidhwani’s bash together last month. All of them wore black but it was Malaika who was talked about for her sheer gown.
