Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi groove to ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’; get trolled for ‘copying’ Beyonce and Shakira’s iconic ‘Beautiful Liar’ – Times of India

Malaika and Nora traded in the colourful lehengas for all-black hot-shorts, boots, cutout tops and stockings. Nora shared the clip on her handle and captioned it saying, “I would shout from train tops if I could! Catch my #DreamCollab with @malaikaaroraofficial.”

Netizens seemed blown away by the beauties teaming up for the performance. However, there were those who thought that the choreography was too similar to Beyonce and Shakira’s seNsual performance for their ‘Beautiful Liar’ music video.

“Too similar to Beyoncé and Shakira’s dance, come on guys be more original,” said a fan while also adding, “still love u gals tho.”

“Yeah they both think one is Shakira and the other is Beyonce,” another chimed in agreement.

Beyonce and Shakira collaborated on the song ‘Beautiful Liar’ back in 2006. Thirteen years on, the singers’ iconic choreography to the track is still fresh in fans’ minds.

The girls did receive some love from fans who dubbed them as ‘Desi Beyonce and Shakira’. However, Shah Rukh Khan fans thought “Chaiyya Chaiyya is incomplete without SRK.”

The dance routine was part of a promo for Malaika’s new show that is currently streaming on an OTT platform.
