JOHANNESBURG – Major League DJz have been announced as the supporting acts for Grammy award-winning singer Burna Boy’s Live in SA concert.
It is set to take place at the FNB stadium on 23 September.
The twin power duo – DJz Bandile and Banele Mbere are known for their New Age Kwaito and Amapiano sounds.
Burna Boy’s After Tour will begin in Johannesburg at the FNB Stadium.
This follows his world Stadium Tour, which saw him make history by becoming the first African artist to headline a stadium event in the United Kingdom.
Burna Boy has cemented his place among the continent’s biggest names after receiving a number of accolades including the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque.
The African star also made history by being nominated for “hip-hop artist of the year” and receiving seven other nominations for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.
He also was the headline act at Afrobeats festival Afro Nations in Portugal in June.
