Things have not been easy for Mahima in the recent past. The ‘Pardes’ star was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. Last year on June 9, Anupam Kher had revealed this on a post on social media saying, “I called Mahima Chaudhry a month back from US to play a very important role in my 525th film The Signature. Our conversation turned to her discovering that she has Breast Cancer. What followed is in this candid conversation between us. Her attitude will give hope to so many women all over the world. She wanted me to be part of her disclosing about it.”

While talking to ETimes exclusively, when Mahima started working for the film ‘The Signature’, she had spoken about battle with cancer and revealed, “I am cancer free. It got all over about 3 to 4 months back.”

She had also said, “People didn’t see the video fully, they have just jumped to conclude that I went to America for my treatment. But the fact is that I was very much in Mumbai.”

In the last week of March, Mahima shot for an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ with Manisha Koirala. That episode has not been aired yet.

We at ETimes stand by Mahima in her hour of crisis and pray that Mrs Chaudhry’s soul rest in peace.
