Mahesh Bhatt recently opened his heart about a lot of things including, working with Shah Rukh Khan and admiring filmmaker Karan Johar for his ‘guts’ to be himself.

In an interview with a news portal, Mahesh recalled doing two films with Shah Rukh, ‘Chahat’ and ‘Duplicate’. The director said that despite both the films getting flopped, SRK always treated him as a king.

Bhatt also went on to shower praise on Shah Rukh. Calling him an unusual guy, he added that they don’t make people like that anymore. According to Mahesh Bhatt, the actor in him is obviously the vehicle on which the persona stands. He also added that he has listened to SRK’s heartbeat. There’s a very big man in it, a very generous, courageous, great human being, Bhatt told Pinkvilla.

Further, the ‘Sadak’ director also lauded filmmaker Karan Johar. According to him, Karan is a great achiever, courageous and bold. He also admired KJo’s guts to be himself.

Shah Rukh starrer ‘Duplicate’ was produced by Karan’s late father Yash Johar. According to reports, there were a lot of creative differences between Bhatt and the production house. However, Karan and Mahesh later buried the hatchet. Karan has also launched Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt in ‘Student Of The Year’.
