Macintosh charger for iPhone! See how you can buy this adorable accessory
Macintosh charger for iPhone: This retro fast charger for Apple devices can be bought via Indiegogo. Here are all details.
Macintosh charger for iPhone: If you are an Apple fan, this could interest you a lot. Most of you may know Apple for its iPhones but a few decades ago, it was the Mac that brought Apple into the limelight. And, the original Macintosh is what made possible the personal computer as we know today, and hence is a highly regarded gadget from Apple’s history. It would be then cute to have a charger shaped just like the original Macintosh, right? Thankfully, Shargeek, a kickstarter brand on Indiegogo has come up with just a product like that.
It is called the Shargeek Retro 35 GaN charger and was put on a kickstarter funding campaign. It has seen enough demand for the company to start mass producing and selling it. If you book it now as part of the early bird offer, you will be able to get the charger at an effective price of Rs. 1,960, which is a decent amount of money to spend on a cutesy charger. And it is not just shaped like a Macintosh, it has working parts to give you that retro Mac experience.

Macintosh charger for all Apple gadgets
Other than the shape of the charger resembling a retro Macintosh, the biggest attraction on this thing is its tiny display, which is in fact an LED light status indicator. The “display” glows white when it is not charging, yellow when it is charging normally, blue when it is doing fast charging, green when it does supercharging, and no light when it takes no load for 5 minutes. You can place transparent DIY stickers on top this display to customise it further — you can even get the “hello” sticker on its display, or the emoji face.
Other than the cutesy design, this is a 35W GaN charger, which means it should be able to charge almost all of your Apple devices. That means you can charge your iPhone, your Apple Watch, your iPad, the MacBook Air and Pro models, and anything that comes with the new USB-C cable. You can even charge non-Apple devices with this charger, since this also support PD 3.0, PD 2.0, Quick Charge 4, and more.
However, note that the charger comes as standard with the US port and you will need to buy the travel adapters for different countries, which adds $5 extra to the price.
