Caitlin Foord and Beth Mead each scored twice as Arsenal dismantled Lyon 5-1 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday.
Frida Maanum followed up Foord’s early opener with a goal of her own in the 22nd minute, before Lyon’s Melvine Malard clawed one back for the home side.
Mead’s first on the stroke of half-time opened the flood gates for Arsenal, as she and Foord added to their respective goal tallies in the second to cap off a scintillating display for Jonas Eidevall’s side.
