The incident happened on Friday (July 14) when the “About Damn Time” singer was talking to the audience. At the time, Lizzo spotted a fan holding a sign, which said, “I Chose You Over Taylor Swift (Heart) Can I Get a Hug.”

Lizzo, while thanking fans for attending the performance, said, “I’m going to start off by saying thank you for coming to my show. I know tickets are expensive to everybody’s shows, so it means the world to me that you’re here.”

Addressing the flattering message of the fan, the pop star said, “Taylor Swift is amazing as well. And you don’t have to choose, because I’m going to get you tickets to Taylor Swift! I’m just kidding.”
