Jurgen Klopp’s side face Wolves on Tuesday without several first team forwards
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping Diaz can return as soon as possible, as he is currently missing a number of key forward including Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino.
It leaves him with just Mohamed Salah and new signing Cody Gakpo available out of the club’s main forwards, as Liverpool prepare for an FA Cup replay against Wolves on Tuesday.
When fit, Diaz has been among the Reds’ best players this season, notching four goals in 12 games across all competitions and bringing energy to a side that has often looked flat.
