Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight at the international break being over, after revealing his ‘hate’ for them.
Top-flight club football has taken a backseat since November 7 – with World Cup qualifiers for next year’s showpiece in Qatar taking precedence in that period instead.
It has left Klopp stewing on Liverpool’s first defeat of the season for 12 days – a 3-2 Premier League loss at West Ham United – and the Reds manager is ecstatic he now his full contingent of stars back so they can focus on the visit of Arsenal on Saturday at Anfield.

‘I hate international breaks,’ he said during Friday’s pre-match press conference. ‘Although, it helped from injury point of view.
‘Coaches have their own targets and very often think they have to do physical work with the players.
‘The break was not helpful, I would have loved to have played the week after [West Ham].’
Liverpool could go second in the Premier League by Saturday night, if results go their way.

The Merseysiders host an in-form Arsenal and could face them without captain Jordan Henderson and left back Andy Robertson.
The pair are both injury doubts and Klopp has admitted he will give them as much time as possible before making a decision on their selection status.
‘So, Hendo [Henderson] and Robbo [Robertson] have not trained with team yet,’ he continued.
‘They’re doing recovery and rehab stuff but they are pretty close and it’ll be a late decision [on their fitness].’
